Hannah Tishman, LCSW, Founder
Hannah Tishman is the Founder and Lead Therapist at Hannah Tishman Psychotherapy, LCSW P.C. Hannah launched her career after graduating from Columbia University with a Masters of Social Work. While working towards her LCSW, Hannah worked in community mental health, providing individual and family therapy to those affected by health and socioeconomic disparities, as well as intergenerational trauma. This led Hannah to work in a large group private practice in NYC, providing therapy and serving as the Vice President of Operations. Hannah then founded her own therapy practice, focusing on trauma recovery and EMDR. Hannah looks forward to connecting with clients and working towards healing.

Ellen Fischel, LMSW
Ellen Fischel is an Associate Therapist at Hannah Tishman Psychotherapy, LCSW P.C. Ellen earned her Masters of Social Work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University 14 years ago. Ellen is also an entrepreneur and is the founder of Spatial Relations Consultants, organizing/decluttering practice. Ellen combines her love of organizing with her mental health tools to help her clients work towards a more productive home environment. Ellen has also worked at Camp Ramah Nyack where she provides psychological support to campers and their families.
While working towards her LCSW, Ellen has worked at a large non-profit mental health agency providing necessary clinical intervention in a culturally competent and sensitive manner to children and adults. She partnered closely with the divisions’ medical, psychiatric, and clinical staff to ensure the appropriate treatment interventions for each client.
Ellen is licensed in New York (License #080656) and has advanced training in CBT via the Beck Institute.
Ellen is a registered out of state tele-health provider in Florida as well (Registration #TPIC243).

Bonnie Shimel, RCSWI
Bonnie Shimel is an Associate Therapist at Hannah Tishman Psychotherapy, LCSW P.C. Bonnie earned her Masters of Social Work from Florida State University, and her B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College–CUNY, with a minor in Sociology. Bonnie is dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, anxiety, and relationship challenges.
Bonnie specializes in supporting clients through profound loss, persistent worry, and interpersonal difficulties. She incorporates Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into her work, guiding clients toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and lasting change. Her practice emphasizes cultivating a positive mindset and gratitude, empowering clients to draw on their strengths and build resilience.
Known for her warm, grounded presence, Bonnie creates a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether facilitating healing from grief, reducing the weight of anxiety, or helping clients improve and repair relationships, she approaches every interaction with empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to her clients’ well-being.
