EMDR Therapy
A trauma-focused approach that can help reduce the emotional intensity of distressing experiences and shift patterns that still feel stuck.
Virtual EMDR therapy for adults in Florida, New York, New Jersey.
What is EMDR?
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a structured therapy approach that helps the brain process experiences that may still feel emotionally “stuck.” Instead of only talking through what happened, EMDR can help reduce the intensity of memories, triggers, and beliefs that continue to affect how you feel in the present.
EMDR May Be Helpful For
Trauma and PTSD
Difficult or painful past experiences
Relationship and attachment wounds
Anxiety and emotional triggers
Negative beliefs about yourself
Grief or loss
Patterns that feel difficult to change through insight alone
How We Use EMDR
EMDR is not a one-size-fits-all process. We use it as part of a broader, individualized approach and only when it makes sense for your goals, history, and readiness. Sessions may also include relational, somatic, attachment-focused, or other evidence-based work to support the process.
For some clients, EMDR is used to target specific memories or triggers. For others, it can help address broader patterns tied to self-worth, relationships, anxiety, or past experiences.
